Tonsillitis:
Tonsils are a type of lymph node or gland that is located in the back of our throat. Tonsils produce white blood cells in our body. These white blood cells fight disease germs that enter the body from the outside. When the white blood cells do not work properly against the germs, various diseases caused by viruses or bacteria are caused in the body. But sometimes the tonsil gland itself becomes infected while trying to destroy these germs. This results in infection and swelling of these glands. This is what we call tonsillitis in medical parlance and the problem of tonsillitis in common parlance.Usually, children play outside and many stay together at school. As a result, there are hundreds of causes like tonsillitis. This is why this problem is more common in children and adolescents, but people of any age can get tonsillitis.

Causes:
  1.  In most cases, tonsillitis is caused by the attack of the common cold or other viruses.
  2.  Different types of bacteria have been found as the cause of 15-20 per cent tonsillitis. A disease called streptococcus is caused by streptococcal bacteria. Ignoring the symptoms of this disease can lead to serious complications later on.
Symptoms:
  1.  Acute sore throat.
  2.  Headache, high temperature.
  3. There is difficulty in eating and difficulty in yawning.
  4.  May cause pain in the ears.
  5.  Saliva comes out of the mouth and the voice can become heavy.
  6.  Bad breath may come out of the mouth.
  7.  Sore throat, tonsillitis with sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, swelling of the throat. Reasons: Lack of nutrition, ice cream, drinking too much cold water kept in the fridge can cause damage to the tonsils. If you live in a damp place, if the incidence of winter is high due to climate change, if you come from the sun and drink cold water from the fridge, if you sweat in hot weather, the inflammation of tonsils may increase.
Treatment:
  1. The most effective way to relieve sore throat is to rinse with lukewarm water. It is very effective in reducing pain by preventing tonsillitis. Not only this, with the help of hot water you can reduce the risk of bacterial infections.
  2.  Mixing honey with green tea will relieve a sore throat. The antioxidants in green tea help to destroy all kinds of harmful germs. Drink 3 to 4 cups of this honey-tea a day to get good results.
  3.  Mix a little turmeric powder in a cup of hot milk. The anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and anti-oxidant ingredients in turmeric help reduce tonsillitis by reducing sore throats.
  4.  Boil one teaspoon of ginger powder in one and a half cup of water. Then mix honey in it and drink it. The anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory ingredients in ginger prevent the spread of infection. It is also very effective in reducing sore throat. Drinking this mixture two to three times a day will reduce sore throat a lot.
  5.  Mix lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, half a teaspoon of salt in 200 ml of hot water. Use it until the sore throat gets better. It is very effective in relieving tonsillitis.
  6.  Fenugreek is quite beneficial in preventing tonsillitis. Stir in three teaspoons of fenugreek in one litre of water. Let it simmer for 30 to 35 minutes. Rinse with it while the yolk is hot. Fenugreek will reduce sore throat and pain.
  7.  Coldwater and cold food should be avoided in the early stages of the disease. Generally, you should take light hot water during bathing. Proper care of teeth and mouth should be done properly. Cold eating should be avoided in the early stages of the disease. You have to try to live in a healthy environment. Exercise properly. If it is more than 7 days, you must take the medicine as per the advice of the doctor.
  8.  Problems with chronic inflammation and obstruction tonsils and adenoids are best removed by surgery.
Method of tonsillectomy: 
There are different methods of tonsillectomy. Such as the dissection method, electrocautery, laser, coblation ultrasonic. Dissection method is popular all over the world. In this way, some bleeding occurs during the operation and the blood vessels have to be stitched.

Tonsil operation by laser, coblation and ultrasonic method is much better but more expensive. Suitable trained skilled surgeons are required. The advantage of tonsillectomy in the electrocautery, the laser method is that it is bloodless, safe, modern and takes less time. Electrocautery, laser method does not require any stitching in tonsil operation. The patient will be able to eat orally after the operation. Quick recovery and the patient may soon return to normal daily activities.
