Constipation:

Constipation means the stool in the rectum is not clean properly or there is difficulty in defecation due to hardness in the stool. If you have a normal and spontaneous bowel movement less than three times a week after eating enough fiber or cellulose, it is called constipation. Constipation is a common problem. It affects people of all ages. Although it is not a serious problem, it is a problem of extreme discomfort. Sometimes it also becomes a painful problem.

Symptoms of constipation:

Constipation usually has the following symptoms:

  • Defecation pressure may be reduced.
  • Defecation less often than usual.
  • Having little amount, dry, and hard stools.
  • Extreme difficulty in defecating.
  • Bleeding with stool.
  • It takes more time to defecate.
  • Need more pressure to defecate.
  • Even after using the toilet for a long time, it seems that the toilet is not complete.
  • Flatulence.
  • Toilet with the help of fingers, suppositories or any other means.
  • Feeling of pain around the anus and in the lower abdomen.
  • Feeling of pressure in the anus.

Causes of constipation:

The following reason may cause constipation:

  • Diet or working habit changes.
  • Not to drink enough water.
  • Not to eat vegetables, fruits, and fibrous type foods.
  • Eating lots of dairy foods.
  • Eating excessive amounts of sugary or non-vegetarian foods.
  • Eat more fast food and spicy foods.
  • Not to eat food on time.
  • Lack of physical activity, walking, or not exercise at all can cause this problem.
  • Exhaustion or depression is one of the causes of constipation. Mental problems often lead to digestive problems. Which can lead to constipation.
  • If regular bowel movements are suppressed and it becomes a habit. This can lead to constipation.
  • If you use too much laxative medicine.
  • Taking painkillers can cause constipation. Also use a variety of medications, such as anti-diarrheal drugs, stomach pain medications, high blood pressure medications, peptic ulcer medications, seizure medications, iron, calcium, and aluminum-rich medications.
  • Pregnancy can cause this problem.
  • If there are problems with the muscles and nerves of the digestive system.
  • In many cases, the body's metabolism can be reduced due to the thyroid gland. This can lead to heartburn and constipation.
  • Various types of diseases such as diabetes, brain hemorrhage or tumors, colon cancer, chronic kidney disease, Parkinson's disease, or multiple sclerosis type neurological disease.
  • Constipation may occur if you stay in bed due to illness for a long period of time.

Prevention of constipation:

The following tips need to be followed to prevent constipation:

  • Defecate without pressing the stool.
  • Exercise regularly. Try to exercise at least 4-5 days a week for 30 minutes every day.
  • Cut down on dairy foods. Milk can cause constipation in some people.
  • Keep yourself free from worry and anxiety.
  • Stay away from caffeine.
  • Reduce fat and protein type foods.
  • Drink enough water especially on an empty stomach in the morning.
  • Eat more fibrous foods every day.
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  • Get enough sleep.

 Treatment of constipation:

According to doctors, it is better to live a life without constipation than to cure constipation. Constipation should be treated immediately without delay. There are many natural ways to get rid of constipation that speed up digestion as well as cure the disease. And they can be easily made at home.

Hot water:

Hot water can play an important role in curing constipation. Drinking 1 glass of hot water on an empty stomach regularly in the morning will never cause constipation. Lack of water in the body does not mean dehydration. It is also very beneficial for the skin. Drink 1 glass of lukewarm water every 2-3 hours and walk a while to soften the bowel and relieve constipation.

Lemon water:

Lemon juice is very effective in relieving constipation. It contains nutrients that accelerate digestion and speed up bowel movements. This is the simplest but best method. Drink 1 glass of lukewarm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Get up in the morning on an empty stomach and drink it, again drink it in the evening until constipation is over.

Honey:

Honey can play a very effective role in softening the bowels and relieving constipation. Those who regularly eat 1 teaspoon of honey will never have constipation. Eat 2 teaspoons of honey 3 times a day to get rid of constipation. However, to get rid of constipation very quickly, mix 1 glass of hot water with 1 table of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. It is called herbal medicine to cure constipation.

High-fiber vegetables:

Vegetables have a lot of fiber. It is very easily digested. It also makes the defecation path slippery and increases the speed of defecation. Cauliflower, cabbage, gourd, spinach, beans, bean sprouts, radishes, eggplants, other greens, etc. are rich in fiber. Regular consumption of these vegetables provides relief from digestive problems and regular bowel movements. Mix half a glass of hot water with half a glass of spinach juice and drink it twice a day to cure constipation very quickly.

Castor oil:

Castor oil enhances the function of the small and large intestines inside the body and accelerates its movement. Eat 1 to 2 teaspoons of castor oil on an empty stomach. You can mix fruit juice or honey to make it delicious. It will feel the pressure of defecation within a few hours of eating. Do not eat it when constipation gets better.

Linseed:

Linseed is a food that is rich in various medicinal properties. It has a lot of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. It also has many stool softening properties which are very effective as a medicine for constipation. Soak 1 tablespoon linseed in 1 glass of water for 2-3 hours. Eat linseed with water before going to bed at night. In the morning your bowel activities will be much better.

Grapes:

Grapes contain insoluble fiber which strengthens the digestive system doubles. Drink 250 grams of grapes or half a glass of grape juice throughout the day. Keep 10-12 pieces of raisin into the milk and warm the milk. Then drink the raisins with milk. It will be more effective if done in the evening. It is more beneficial for children.

Molasses beverage:

Molasses is very effective as a natural medicine to cure constipation as well as to soften the bowels. Take 1 teaspoon of Molasses before going to sleep. You can mix it with hot milk to make it delicious. If constipation is complicated, increase the amount and eat 2-3 tablespoons. Molasses has high levels of calories so it is not advisable to eat them more than once a day.

Dry food:

Dried foods such as dates, raisins, nuts, plums, etc. are high in fiber and tartaric acid. These foods are very useful to soften the toilet. Studies have shown that people who regularly eat a handful of raisins a day have a softer bowel movement and have no digestive problems.
